RIMAVSKÁ SOBOTA - An emergency situation has been declared in the Rimavská Sobota district in connection with a nighttime windstorm that hit 15 municipalities. TASR was informed about this by Matej Neumann, a spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior (MV) of the Slovak Republic, stating that the reason is the extent of the damage caused and the need to ensure effective coordination of rescue and removal works.
