Rome Emperors Pitcher Released After Arrested for Shoplifting

The Atlanta Braves released Rome Emperors pitcher Jacob Gomez aftwr he was arrested on for stealing sports cards from the West Rome Walmart. Reports stated that Gomez stuffed his shorts with the packs and walked out of the store without paying. The total value of the sports cards was listed at $60. The Braves signed Gomez in 2024 as an undrafted free agent out of Old Dominion. Source
