According to the head of the Romanian Ministry of Defence, the Black Sea will continue to be a battlefield for Russia.
Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey are planning to expand the joint initiative on clearance of the Black Sea by adding a patrol force to protect trade routes and energy facilities from possible Russian attacks, as reported by the Romanian Defence Minister, Ionut Mosteanu, in an interview with Reuters. "This project should be transformed into a full-fledged patrol mission in the coming years, and we will discuss this with partners shortly," he said.
