ŠURANY, SLOVAKIA—A Roman military camp dated to the late second century A.D. has been discovered in southwestern Slovakia, Live Science reports. Slovak archaeologists have discovered a large Roman military camp and skeletal remains of soldiers near Šurany in the Nitra region. They say the find adds to the missing information about Roman activities north of the Danube at the end of the 2nd century. They have also found a number of rare objects.
