Ferrara, June 8, 2026 – Former mayor of Ferrara, Roberto Soffritti, has died. Born in Ferrara in 1941, a graduate in Economics and Business, he had been ill for some time. He was the son of Antenore Soffritti, a member of the Resistance against Nazism and Fascism, who was among the victims of the Doro massacre, the Nazi massacre that took place in Ferrara on November 17, 1944.
