Robert Peckham, historian: “Freedom is scary”
Can there be hope where there is fear? wrote Cervantes in El Quixote. To find out we moved to Bronxville, one of the most exclusive towns in New York—known for its Tudor and colonial architecture mansions, as well as the elite education it offers—located about 25 kilometers from Manhattan. British historian Robert Peckham (London, 1965), author of the Fear essay, has lived there for a few years.
