In Niger, attacks by the Islamic State Group in the Sahel (EIS) against civilians in the Tillabéri region have intensified in recent months. This is the conclusion of a report published Wednesday, 10 September by Human Rights Watch. According to the NGO, the EIS executed 127 people in the five attacks it documented that occurred between March and June this year. HRW calls on the Niger authorities to further protect civilians in the area.
