Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin is coming to Robinhood's app, potentially reaching millions
- On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Ripple announced an expanded partnership with BNY to enhance digital asset custody and a new collaboration with C2FO to use the XRP Ledger for instant trade finance payments.
- This collaboration builds on BNY's existing role as primary reserve custodian for Ripple's dollar-backed RLUSD stablecoin, which has grown to a market capitalization of more than $2.5 billion since its December 2024 debut.
- Under the C2FO arrangement, suppliers currently waiting 30, 60 or 90 days for payment can receive funds via the XRP Ledger, which settles transactions in approximately three to five seconds.
- Separately, Robinhood plans to integrate RLUSD for institutional settlement and treasury operations, expanding usage for its brokerage platform serving roughly 28.6 million funded accounts.
