Rheinmetall Secures €1.04 Billion Contract for German Digital Soldier Systems

Rheinmetall announced in late April 2026 that the company had secured a €1.04 billion “call-off” order from the German Bundeswehr for its IdZ-ES digital soldier kit. Under an existing framework agreement, the contract covers upgrading current equipment and providing 237 new platoon-level systems. Deliveries are scheduled between November 2027 and December 2029.
