Virginija Aleksejūnė, a member of the Central Service Ethics Commission (VTEK), believes that the decision of this commission adopted in June, which recognized that Jonava Mayor Mindaugas Sinkevičius violated the law by purchasing two televisions for his own needs with municipal funds and paying for services provided to his spouse's actually used mobile phone subscriber number with the same funds, prevented him from becoming prime minister.
