On Monday, the re-trial of a policeman who fatally shot 21-year-old Adam C in Konin in 2019 began in the District Court in Kalisz (Wielkopolskie). The prosecution accused him of involuntary causing death. In the first trial in Kalisz, a court sentenced an officer to three years in prison for involuntarily causing death and exceeding his powers. The Court of Appeal in Lodz overturned this judgment.
