The volume of retail sales slipped by 0.8% in February, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.

Retail sales decline slightly in February

Retail sales decreased in both volume and value terms last month while increasing year-on-year, figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) shows. Sales declined 0.8% in volume and 0.6% in value in February. Excluding motor trades, the monthly volume of retail sales increased 0.3%. On an annual basis, volumes rose 0.8% and values were up 2.1%.
