ResMed to sell software business MatrixCare for $490 million
MatrixCare generated about $220 million in revenue in FY26, and ResMed said sale proceeds will fund a share buyback and other corporate purposes.
On Tuesday, ResMed announced a definitive agreement to sell its MatrixCare business to Frazier Healthcare Partners for $490 million in cash.
ResMed aims to sharpen its focus on high-growth sleep, breathing, and connected care markets, making the divestiture strategically aligned with its long-term portfolio priorities.
MatrixCare, which serves over 15,000 care providers, contributed approximately $220 million in revenue and $55 million in non-GAAP operating profit during the 2026 financial year.
CEO Mick Farrell stated the sale reflects a "disciplined approach to portfolio management," with proceeds directed toward an accelerated share repurchase program and general corporate purposes.
Pending regulatory approvals, the transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of ResMed's 2027 financial year as the company integrates its recent Noctrix acquisition.
