VNO-NCW is standing up for Brabant poultry farmers whose nature permits are being revoked due to the nitrogen crisis. The permits of five poultry farms are being taken away, while nitrogen measures are on the way. VNO-NCW Brabant Zeeland and the national organization of the employers' association are now asking the province of Brabant to reconsider the withdrawal of the permits, the organizations told BNR.
Farmers gathered with dozens of tractors at the Ommen town hall on Monday evening. There, they handed over an urgent letter to the Mayor and Aldermen expressing their concerns regarding the cabinet's nitrogen plans. Deputy Mayor Alice van den Nieuwboer received the letter.
