Rescuers pull driver out of overturned truck on sand along Mission Bay

Using shovels to dig away sand and an axe to break a windshield, firefighters early Wednesday were able to pull a trapped driver out of an overturned truck on a beach near Mission Bay before paramedics transported the injured man to a hospital. SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A man was rescued by emergency crews after his vehicle rolled onto its side in Mission Bay. The incident was reported around 7 a.m. in the 1700 block of East Mission Bay Dr. near the Mission Bay Resort. Man rescued from under his truck after early morning crash in Mission Bay
