Two people were found on the shore after a tourist rental boat capsized in the municipality of Loppa. It is unclear whether the people were injured.
Since midnight, there have been five calls to the Landsbjörg Accident Prevention Association's sea rescue teams. The announcement says that this is an unusually high number considering the time of year. The first call was from people sailing in the middle of Seyðisfjörður and the other four were due to coastal fishing boats in trouble.
