The Attorney General of Honduras, Johel Zelaya, denounced an alleged plan to assassinate former President Manuel Zelaya and prevent the November general elections.
The Attorney General's Office denounces that the criminal operation continued in force to consummate the planned assassination attempt since the 2009 coup, overthrow Xiomara Castro's government and sabotage the electoral process.
