- The repossession was initiated by a woman who had sold the car to the suspect, alleging that he was not making payments, leading her to contact Phil to repossess the vehicle.
- Phil Pacman Guy, while attempting to hook up the car, positioned his head and torso under the vehicle when the driver, encouraged by a woman yelling "Hurry up!", started the engine and backed over him before ultimately driving off.
