It is no longer possible to combine maintenance work on the track near Haarlem with renovations to allow more trains to run on it. This was stated by ProRail in a letter to the cabinet published Friday. As a result, the rail infrastructure manager may have to duplicate work later, potentially costing tens of millions of euros in additional costs.
