Over 18,200 donors have raised more than $700,000 in 24 hours to aid Renee Nicole Good's family after her fatal shooting during an ICE operation.
- GoFundMe for Renee Nicole Good's family surpassed $701,000 within about 24 hours, organized by Mattie Weiss to support Good's wife and son from over 18,200 contributors.
- During an ICE operation on Jan. 7, 2026, agents approached Renee Nicole Good's vehicle in a Minneapolis residential neighborhood south of downtown around 9:30 a.m. local time, and after conflicting orders, she tried to drive away and was shot.
- Following the shooting, thousands of local supporters attended vigils and protests, while Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and the Minneapolis City Council urged ICE to leave and demanded accountability.
- Federal officials and the White House defended the ICE agent, saying Good was `attempting to run over` an officer, while local leaders called for a full investigation and transparency.
- The shooting adds to a pattern of ICE-related deaths and shootings across the country, including at least the fifth death and ninth shooting, and attracted over 18,200 contributors including international donors from Canada, the U.K. and Germany.
