2027 Renault Megane E-Tech Facelift Revealed with Longer Range, Sportier Look
- The updated Renault Megane E-Tech features a new 67kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, extending the official maximum range to 311 miles while introducing a restyled front bumper, gloss-black grille, and lens-free 3D rear lights.
- Powering the upgraded Megane is a 217bhp electric motor with 300Nm of torque, achieving 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds while revised suspension and retuned steering accommodate the larger, heavier battery adding 20mm to vehicle height.
- Inside, Renault trimmed the range to Techno and Esprit Alpine versions, both offering conversational Google Gemini AI, with the Megane becoming the first car to include Apple MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging.
- The new battery allows a peak charging rate of 165kW, enabling a 15 to 80 per cent top-up in around 24 minutes, while a bidirectional system supports powering external appliances and devices.
- Built in France with battery assembly at Renault's Douai factory and motors produced at the Cléon site, the Megane may qualify for a £3,750 Electric Car Grant, potentially lowering prices below the previous £31,295 starting point.
