Authorities said DNA testing on remains found on Torrey Pines beach last week revealed they belonged to a 10-year-old girl reported missing after a suspected smuggling boat capsized off Del Mar beach on May 5. The county Medical Examiner's Office said Mahi Brijeshkumar Patel died when the boat capsized in heavy surf off the Del Mar coast, throwing more than a dozen people into the ocean.
