The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States has published its preliminary report [PDF] on the accident in which last May 3rd a United Airlines Boeing 767 took a delivery truck ahead while landing at Newark airport. Or so it seemed. Because one of the things that is clear in the report is that the plane never touched the truck; what it did was to knock down a lamppost that was the one that in turn crashed into the truck. …
