A herd of reindeer trekking through the snow stopped traffic in the Scottish Highlands. In addition to icy roads and falling snow, drivers in Scotland had to deal with another unusual traffic situation: their road was blocked for a while by a herd of Cairngorm reindeer near the town of Aviemore. They are the only free-roaming herd in the UK, living in the Cairngorm Mountains of Scotland.
