Mystics Coach Sydney Johnson Escorted Off Floor by Police After Being Ejected From Washington's Loss to Atlanta
Angel Reese posted 18 points and a season-high 17 rebounds as Atlanta set season highs in free throws and beat Washington by 32.
On Saturday, the Atlanta Dream defeated the Washington Mystics 109-77 in College Park, Georgia, marking the Dream's highest-scoring game this season.
Washington head coach Sidney Johnson was ejected at the 3:52 mark of the third quarter after receiving a double technical foul for a confrontational tirade toward referee Blanca Burns.
The Dream set season highs with 41 free throw attempts and 32 free throws made, while hitting 13 three-pointers and outrebounding Washington 42-26.
Assistant coach Emre Vatansever took over for the ejected Johnson, while Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron led the Mystics with 24 and 18 points respectively.
The Mystics host Indiana on Monday, while the Atlanta Dream travel to Chicago to play on Tuesday in their respective next contests.
