The Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe team has revealed on its website the eight riders who will compete in the Tour de France. The captain of the team will be Slovenian ace Primož Roglič, who is returning to competition after a disappointing performance at the Giro. Red Bull has another trump card up its sleeve in German Florian Lipowitz. The other Slovenian in the team, Jan Tratnik, has been left out of the Tour.
Since his second place in the Tour de France 2020, where he lost the yellow jersey in the penultimate stage in favour of his compatriot Tadej Pogacar, the Slovenian never managed to finish the three laps he took part in because of falls. Red Bull - Bora-hansgrohe will start with Mick van Dijke and Danny van Poppel in the Tour de France. The two Dutchmen are among the eight riders in the team selection that will start in Lille, France on July 5.
