Record early opening for the road to Djupvasshytta in Geiranger

Never before has the road to the popular Djupvasshytta been opened so early. Already when the boom opened, four or five cars were ready, says the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.

The opening of the road from Geiranger to Djupvasshytta is in record time. In any case, no earlier opening has been recorded for nearly 30 years.

The county road over Geirangerfjellet is usually opened in May, but the mild weather has meant that it can be partially opened already today.
