Josh Norris Scores Twice in the Sabres’ 5-2 Victory over the Blue Jackets
Josh Norris ended a six-game scoring drought, and Buffalo won for the fourth time in five games behind three assists from Owen Power.
On Friday, the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-2, led by center Josh Norris with two goals and defenseman Owen Power with three assists in the victory.
During the second and third periods, forwards Sean Monahan and Dmitri Voronkov sustained injuries that forced both players to leave the game and not return, complicating Columbus's roster depth.
Buffalo forwards Jack Quinn, Rasmus Dahlin, and Josh Doan also scored, while goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen earned the win with 24 saves; Jet Greaves recorded 32 saves in the loss.
Blue Jackets coach Rick Bowness cited a lack of consistency, stating, "That's consistency shift after shift, period after period, and we just didn't have that tonight."
The Blue Jackets return home to host the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night, seeking to rebound from the road defeat and their recent struggles away from home.
