- To succeed, canvassers must collect signatures from 15,232 people, or 40 per cent of eligible voters in Vancouver-Quilchena, by July 20. Signatories must have been registered to vote in the riding on Oct. 19, 2024.
- Dorothy Cumming serves as the proponent for the recall effort. If successful, the petition would vacate the seat and trigger a byelection within 90 days under the Recall and Initiative Act.
- Elections BC set spending limits at $36,177.69 for both the proponent and the MLA. Once signatures are submitted, the agency has 42 days to verify petition validity.
- A similar campaign is expected against Lake Country-Coldstream MLA Tara Armstrong. Brodie and Armstrong briefly formed OneBC, which stated priorities include defunding the "reconciliation industry.
