Vancouver Giants Win Fourth in a Row
The 19-year-old winger scored twice in a 5-1 road win after missing the preseason and Vancouver’s first nine games with a lower-body injury.
On Saturday night, 19-year-old forward Cash Koch scored two goals in his Vancouver Giants debut, leading the team to a 5-1 victory over the Penticton Vees at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
The victory marks a fourth consecutive triumph for the Vancouver Giants, their longest winning streak in two seasons. Vancouver now holds a 6-2-1-1 record, placing them second in the WHL Western Conference.
Goaltender Burke Hood stopped 40 of 41 shots, while Brogan McNeil, Cam Parr, and Tobias Tomik also scored. Giants Assistant Coach Simon Ferguson noted, "The last 20 were probably not as good as we would have liked."
Back-to-Back games await the Vancouver Giants in Prince George this Tuesday and Wednesday against the Prince George Cougars as the team continues its road trip.
The Vancouver Giants host the Victoria Royals on October 30 for their annual Trick or Suite night, featuring former star Cameron Schmidt, who scored 99 goals in four seasons with Vancouver.
