Rebecca Hall to Play Katherine Solomon in Netflix's Dan Brown Series
The series adapts The Secret of Secrets and pairs Hall with Morgan Spector, as Netflix expands Dan Brown’s Langdon franchise.
- On Friday, Netflix announced that actress Rebecca Hall has been cast as Katherine Solomon, the female lead in the new series based on Dan Brown's novel The Secret of Secrets.
- Carlton Cuse and Brown are co-creating and executive producing the adaptation, which received a straight-to-series order at Netflix in May 2025 following the novel's Doubleday publication on September 9, 2025.
- Hall will star opposite Morgan Spector, who portrays Robert Langdon, while Katherine is a scientist and Langdon's girlfriend in the novel protecting a groundbreaking manuscript.
- Langdon has appeared in five previous books, including Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code, while the film franchise starring Tom Hanks and directed by Ron Howard grossed approximately $2.24 billion.
- According to Netflix, the series will "blend futuristic science with mystical lore," delivering the "heart-pounding suspense and international intrigue" that characterize the Langdon stories.
