- On Thursday, the Chamartín neighbourhood association filed a legal complaint against Real Madrid Estadio, and a judge decided the case will proceed to court.
- Real Madrid revamped the Santiago Bernabéu and reopened in 2023 at a cost of 1.5 billion euros to become a year-round entertainment hub, but 2024 concerts including Taylor Swift exceeded legal noise limits, the Chamartín association says.
- The association alleges the stadium's soundproofing failed and loudspeakers breached rules, saying Real Madrid Estadio knew this when it made its venue available to external promoters and targets Jose Ángel Sánchez, Real Madrid director and administrator of Real Madrid Estadio.
- Event schedules were disrupted, with many shows relocated since September 2024 after complaints from local residents of Chamartín led organisers to move concerts to the Metropolitano stadium.
- The judge's document on January 15 noted indications of 'acts allegedly constituting a crime against the environment, in the form of noise pollution', while the Chamartín neighbourhood association aims to 'defend' its 'quality of life'.
