The money was raised from Phoenix, Clal, and the provident funds of the employees of the Israeli Electric Company. • Idan Golomb, a senior member of Clal: "The anchor investment in this fund will allow exposure to the developing field of the residential sector in the US."
The company, which manages investment funds in rental housing in the US, will begin purchasing properties with the amount raised - The Phoenix has pledged to invest $80 million in the fund and Clal Insurance will provide $65 million. Electra Real Estate intends to expand the amount raised until the fund closes in a year and a half.
