An arrest warrant has been issued against the German Welle correspondent, Alican Uludağ, who was arrested in Turkey.
The German government demands the release of DW journalist Alican Uludağ, who was arrested in Turkey. He is facing several years of imprisonment because of alleged Presidential insult.
The Turkish judiciary is arresting the investigative reporter of the Deutsche Welle, Alican Uludağ. He is a corruption hunter and Erdoğan is therefore a thorn in his eye. The federal government must do everything possible for Uludağ's release.
In a message sent from Metris Prison to his colleagues, imprisoned journalist Alican Uludağ said, "I have not betrayed journalism, I have not sold my pen," describing his arrest for a tweet as "the sad reality of the country" and emphasizing that the struggle for truth will continue.
The German government has demanded the release of Deutsche Welle journalist Alican Uludag, who was arrested in Turkey. Minister of State for Culture Wolfram Weimer described the accusations against him as "baseless." A judge ordered him to be held in pretrial detention.
