British Columbia Woman Missing After Car Found Abandoned on Ferry to Metro Vancouver
Police say her wallet, belongings and cellphone were left in the car, and family members are worried about her well-being.
The Sunshine Coast RCMP is investigating after 51-year-old Roberts Creek resident Joyelle Goldbard went missing Thursday. Her orange Subaru was found abandoned on a BC Ferries vessel sailing from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay.
Inside the hatchback, police discovered Goldbard's wallet, cellphone, and personal belongings. No one claimed the vehicle, and officers found no sign of the resident upon the ferry's arrival in Metro Vancouver.
Standing 5 feet 4 inches and weighing 150 lbs, Goldbard has brown eyes, short brown hair, and wears glasses. Previously known as Kristi Brandt until 2021, she features a full sleeve tattoo and a phoenix on her neck.
Family and friends are very worried about Goldbard's well-being. The police request anyone with information or who had contact with her Thursday or Friday to call 604-885-2266.
