The Stephenville Access Route is closed this hour because of a single-vehicle accident. RCMP Bay St. George are on the scene trying to recover a large vehicle. Route 490 is closed between Carolina Avenue and Harbour Drive. Police gave no estimate as to when the highway would reopen.
