'Inconsistent with a normal house fire': Police investigating View Royal blaze as arson

West Shore RCMP is investigating an arson at a single-family home on the 300-block of Damon Drive that occurred in the early morning of January 7.
All occupants of the home were safely evacuated, but the fire caused significant damage, according to West Shore RCMP.
The Serious Crimes Unit of the West Shore RCMP is leading the investigation and is collaborating with fire department investigators.
Police are asking the public for assistance, requesting dashcam footage from anyone who drove near the area between 10 p.m. On January 6 and 3 a.m. On January 7.
