Ravens coach shrugs off Lamar Jackson's absence at voluntary practice, says he'll be back soon
Jesse Minter said Jackson’s absence from voluntary work is not a concern and that the quarterback should return soon.
On Tuesday, NFL Most Valuable Player Lamar Jackson missed the first open Baltimore Ravens voluntary organized team activities at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, Md.
The absence follows the hiring of new head coach Jesse Minter and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, who replaced John Harbaugh after his 18-season tenure with Baltimore.
Minter noted Jackson has been in the building throughout the offseason program, stating, "We end practice every day with a... At our best when..."
Jackson has not addressed the media since a season-ending loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on January 4, two days before the team let go of Harbaugh.
Minter emphasized the team's goal: "That's really all we're trying to get done with that and make it fun, have the guys pull for each other.
