Police mount investigation after rare miniature horses stolen

Kent Police are seeking witnesses and footage after the breeding pair, valued at up to £6,000, vanished from a farm overnight.

  • Two rare Argentine Falabellas were stolen from a farm on Marsh Green Road near Edenbridge between 8pm on May 27 and 1am on May 28, prompting a Kent Police investigation.
  • Argentine Falabellas are among the world's smallest horse breeds, standing approximately 2ft 8in tall, and typically cost between £1,500 to £6,000, making them valuable targets for theft.
  • Officers identified a damaged gate at the property during the initial investigation and have since carried out house-to-house inquiries to gather evidence from the area.
  • Investigators have released images of the stallion, described as white with brown spots, while local residents are asked to check private CCTV or dashcam footage for suspicious activity.
