As population concentration in major metropolitan areas continues, which municipalities are experiencing the most significant population outflows? Based on the "2024 Annual Report on Population Movement in the Basic Resident Register" published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, we looked at the "net outflows" (i.e., people moving to other municipalities) between cities, wards, towns, and villages in Japan.
