Ranbir Kapoor's Lord Rama vs Yash's Ravana: Ramayana's second trailer in English offers new glimpses from film
The English and Hindi trailers add new visuals of Rama, Sita and Ravana as Sony Pictures begins a global campaign for the two-part epic.
On Thursday, director Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana unveiled its second trailer at a major Bengaluru event, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana with new visuals.
Sony Pictures is leading a global campaign to introduce Ramayana to international audiences ahead of its November 5, 2026 worldwide theatrical release, with the Bengaluru launch serving as a key strategic milestone.
Both trailer versions showcase grand visuals, but the English version presents Rama as 'Not a God, but a man, Rama, presenting him as humanity's hope,' while the Hindi trailer identifies him as Vishnu's reincarnation.
Ravana's confrontation with Lord Indra and his divine elephant Airavata, plus Rama battling a giant forest creature, establish the epic's large-scale action and visual effects prowess throughout both trailer versions.
Produced on a budget of Rs 4,000 crore with Oscar-winning composers Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman, Ramayana will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, with the second part arriving during Diwali 2027.
