- The vehicle caught fire suddenly near Sri Rampura, with doors failing to open and trapping occupants inside; Pusi Devi suffered more than 60 percent burns before being pulled from the car.
- Residents of Sri Rampura were deeply shaken by the loss of four family members as flames spread so rapidly the vehicle turned into a fireball within moments.
