Raids in Putten from eighty years ago commemorated: 'Still tears'
About a thousand people commemorated the raid in early October 1944 in the Oude Kerk in Putten. After the memorial service, several thousand people took part in a silent march through the Gelderland village. During the Second World War, more than 650 citizens were taken away to concentration camps by the German occupiers.
