Radio Jackie presenter, Izzy Trubshaw, has returned from one of the most remote regions in the world after delivering vital medical care to isolated mountain communities in Nepal.
Leatherhead based MedyArte Foundation delivered its third medical project in seven years to the Nar-Phu valley, a high-altitude region just off the Himalayan Annapurna circuit. Over the course of two weeks, the team delivered five health clinics to over 300 locals, who otherwise have little to no access to healthcare. Izzy, who went with them, tells Jacqui Kerr how it felt to be part of such an important mission. You can hear her interview, here.
