MONTREAL - A Quebec author who earlier this week was accused of using artificial intelligence to write an award-winning novel is now facing a new set of allegations regarding the originality of his previous work.
"This deception is disappointing and inexcusable," said a leader of the Canadian media "La Presse", where the Quebec author is suspected of having published a plagiarized text. At least four other texts are concerned.
In the turmoil since Tuesday, the Canadian-Haitian novelist, Thélyson Orélien, suspected of using artificial intelligence to write his novel It was that or die, one of the literary successes of the re-entry, is now the subject of allegations of plagiarism.
