Qatar Airways reconnects Doha with 70+ destinations on a limited schedule until March 28 amid regional airspace closures and operational challenges.
- From 18 March to 28 March 2026, Qatar Airways launched a temporary limited schedule from Hamad International Airport in Doha, reconnecting the capital with more than 70 destinations across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Pacific.
- Widespread closures of Middle East and Gulf airspace caused by the US–Israel and Iran-related conflict have severely disrupted air travel, forcing carriers to cancel flights, reroute aircraft and face operational constraints across key aviation corridors.
- Lufthansa Group suspended flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Amman and Erbil until 28 March and to Tel Aviv until 9 April; British Airways extended cancellations to Bahrain, Dubai, Tel Aviv and Amman through 31 May.
- Passengers with bookings up until April 15 can rebook on alternative flights or request refunds, though airlines cautioned that schedules may still change pending regulatory approvals and airspace conditions.
- Multiple carriers have extended temporary measures into late April and May, while airlines continue rerouting flights for fuel stops and safety; Qantas QF9 from Perth to London now operates via Singapore to preserve connectivity amid ongoing disruption.
