A Valleyview library board member has resigned, stating the board is abusing its power, lacking transparency, dismissing public input, miscommunicating and intimidating the public.

Houten mayor Gilbert Isabella (PvdA) has announced his resignation after an independent report called the administrative culture in the municipality "transgressive and intimidating". Two aldermen had already resigned after accusations of abuse of power and intimidation of civil servants, according to RTV Utrecht.
