Authorities in the occupied parts of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions now have the right to seize houses and apartments from which Ukrainians fled the war and are uninhabited. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the relevant law on December 15. Apartments and houses can be confiscated even if the owner cannot be identified based on available documents.
