The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has decided to drop the charges against journalist Wierd Duk. The charges were filed by the Stichting Meld Islamofobie and The March 30 Movement, following two messages that Duk posted on the platform X (formerly Twitter) in November 2024. According to the prosecutors, the messages incited hatred, discrimination, violence and sedition. The OM sees no grounds for this.
