The Bundestag comes back from the summer break and starts with the budget consultations for 2027. The draft by Minister of Finance Klingbeil contains painful cuts, among other things in the housing allowance. Social associations and trade unions fear that the social gets under the wheels.
Social cuts in housing allowances, parental allowances, pensions: Trade unions and welfare associations are alarming at the start of household consultations. They demand that the welfare state not sacrifice it to the defence budget.
